De la faute à la forme juste

From the mistake to the right form

Seg tuccḍa ar telɣa iṣeḥḥan

Deux phrases tapées sur un clavier sans lettres kabyles, et ce qu'en fait le correcteur. Tout ce qui suit est sa sortie réelle.

Two sentences typed on a keyboard without Kabyle letters, and what the corrector does with them. Everything below is its real output.

Snat n tefyar yettwarun ɣef unasiw war isekkilen n teqbaylit, d wayen i d-yerra useɣtay. Ayen akk i d-iteddun d tuffɣa-s n tidet.

I.1

Une première phrase, tapée comme on l'entend

A first sentence, typed as it sounds

Tafyirt tamezwarut, tettwaru akken tettwasla

thaqbaylith d thoutlayt iw : des th et un ou hérités d'autres écritures, et un possessif détaché.

thaqbaylith d thoutlayt iw: th and ou borrowed from other writing habits, and a detached possessive.

thaqbaylith d thoutlayt iw : th d ou i d-yekkan seg tira nniḍen, d umqim n tilin yebḍan.

I.2

Normaliser les graphies

Normalise the spellings

Aseggem n tira

Une table ramène les graphies de transition à l'orthographe : th devient t, ou devient u.

A table maps transitional spellings to the orthography: th becomes t, ou becomes u.

Tafelwit tettarra tira n uɛeddi ɣer tefayneɣt : th yuɣal t, ou yuɣal u.

I.3

Rattacher le possessif

Attach the possessive

Aqqen n umqim n tilin

iw, « mon », se colle au nom qui le précède : taqbaylit d tutlayt-iw, « le kabyle est ma langue ».

iw, “my”, attaches to the noun before it: taqbaylit d tutlayt-iw, “Kabyle is my language”.

iw yettwaqqen ɣer yisem i t-yezwaren : taqbaylit d tutlayt-iw.

I.4

Une deuxième phrase, une faute d'inversion

A second sentence, a swapped-letter mistake

Tafyirt tis snat, snat n yisekkilen beddlen amkan

ayen ihlan d tidetth : le h et le l de ilhan ont permuté, et un th traîne en fin de mot.

ayen ihlan d tidetth: the h and l of ilhan are swapped, and a th lingers at the end.

ayen ihlan d tidetth : h d l n ilhan beddlen amkan, yerna th yeqqim deg taggara n wawal.

I.5

Chercher les voisins

Look for neighbours

Anadi ɣef wawalen iqerben

Six mots sont à une lettre près de ihlan. À l'écrit, rien ne les départage.

Six words are one letter away from ihlan. In writing, nothing separates them.

Sḍis n wawalen ttemgaraden d ihlan s yiwen n usekkil kan. Deg tira, ulac ayen ara ten-yebḍun.

I.6

Peser avec le kabyle

Weigh with Kabyle in mind

Aktal almend n teqbaylit

Deux lettres inversées coûtent moins qu'une lettre au hasard. Avec le son, l'usage et le dictionnaire des verbes, ilhan l'emporte.

Two swapped letters cost less than a random letter. With sound, usage and the verb dictionary, ilhan wins.

Ma beddlen snat n yisekkilen amkan, tuccḍa-nni tifes ɣef usekkil yettwabeddlen s ugacur. S yimesli, s usemres d umawal n yimyagen, ilhan d netta i yernan.

I.7

Décider sur la phrase

Decide over the sentence

Afran ɣef tefyirt akk

Chaque mot garde plusieurs candidats. Un modèle 3-grammes juge les suites de mots, et le chemin le plus plausible traverse la phrase.

Each word keeps several candidates. A 3-gram model judges word sequences, and the most plausible path runs through the sentence.

Yal awal yeṭṭef aṭas n tefranin. Tamudemt n 3 n yigramen tettwali amek ttemḍafaren wawalen, syin abrid yugaren yettεeddi tafyirt akk.

I.8

Laisser choisir

Let people choose

Ad yeǧǧ afran

Le correcteur propose ses candidats, le sien en tête, et laisse le dernier mot à celui qui écrit. Avec son accord, ce choix documente une vraie faute.

The corrector offers its candidates, its own pick first, and leaves the last word to the writer. With consent, that choice documents a real error.

Aseɣtay yettak-d tifranin-is, tin-is deg tazwara, yeǧǧa awal aneggaru i win yettarun. Ma yella yeqbel, afran-a yessekles tuccḍa n tidet.
